Little obsessions began to happen
A life story is told to only one
No one catches on to what lies in front of them
Except that one person left there to bare it all
She will not stop him, nor will she lead him
The decision is his to make
So she sits back and respects that
While listening to all of his mistakes
She lets him know just how wonderful he really is
She holds him close, knowing that it will soon end
Even if only for a small moment in time
She wishes to make his last few days happy
Trying to ease his suffering
Trying to calm his wandering mind
She knows the pills do not help
But also, in a way, gives him the strength
For no one deserves the pain that was happening
Some can only hope that he is in a better place
And only one truly knows the pain he went through
The last thoughts he had
Only one truly knows just how happy he is now
Secretly on everyone’s side, wearing a smile on his face
Some things may not last forever
But the memories are there keeps
